To be honest, I don’t always love going to the huge craft shows that take place around the holidays. They overwhelm me and without knowing where my favourite crafters are stationed, I often end up walking down aisles of very nice things that aren’t really my taste. However, yesterday I visited a particular well-known show and was really impressed with some of the new vendors, especially the ceramic, textile and screening artisans. I seemed to gravitate toward the white and neutral tabletop pieces…maybe I’m in a wintery mood. And because they’re neutral, I think they’d make great gifts for any lucky recipients now or any time of year. Click on the photos to be taken directly to the artists stores or sites.
P.S. If you’re in Toronto or will be this weekend, you can still check out the OOAK show where all of the gifts featured here can be found. And don’t forget to check out the Snow Day Holiday Market at the Gladstone Hotel this Sunday for more gifts from local artists!
