Innocent-enough potatoes and onions would have been on the approved list for my moderate January cleanse. Too bad we threw them into a ton of oil and fried the hell out of them.
I’ll be honest though, this is not where I really fell off the wagon. I went out to dinner with my girlfriend on Tuesday, stumbled upon their happy hour (premium martini for $5? well it’s too rare to pass up…), we ordered mac and cheese (“we’ll share!” was the justification) and too much wine.
Next week is a fresh start, I swear. The key is to not get discouraged and quit! For instance, I haven’t used my slide as an excuse to return to coffee or sugar. Are you still sticking to your resolutions to eat better? I hope you’ve been much more successful than me! Bon weekend!
