Where are the shishito peppers, Toronto?
They are so hard to source here that I finally resorted to buying the seeds online and begged my mother to tend to them in her garden, miles away from the racoons and squirrels who feast on anything growing in mine.
I waited for them to grow. Not patiently. I fried them within an hour of my mother bringing them over to my house and don’t think that I didn’t burn my mouth on ten of them before taking the picture that you see here.
