You have just enough time, if you start now, to keep an eye out for that flight sale that will start it all. Book your return (<–if you must) and then your lodging–in both LA and Palm Springs–unless you’re lucky enough to have friends there. I am, and last April I spent the better part of a month in those worthy-of-the-hype cities. You should go in the mid-to-late spring and spend as much time there as you can. Trust me, between the evolving dining scene, the carefully curated shops, the mind-blowing installations at some of the best galleries I’ve ever been to, and the breath-taking desert, you’re going to want to stay a while.
And you’re going to want some suggestions.
My address book of where to visit, explore, eat, shop and sun in LA and Palm Springs.
